We do our best to answer phone inquiries, however, all information on this website is updated daily by GSU. Please read our travel booking guidelines below.

Booking Your RT-PCR Test for Travel

Prior to booking a RT-PCR Covid-19 test for travel with GSU, please carefully review your destination and airline testing requirements. We are not responsible for screening or planning RT-PCR Covid-19 testing appointments within your travel dates, times and requirements by airlines and destinations.

How to Choose your Appointment for Travel RT-PCR Testing

All appointment times below are updated daily, and we carefully accommodate same-day and next-day results (same-day testing is only offered in our Stockton and Sacramento locations). Check rates and times for same-day and next-day testing in the appointment portal above.

For Example: If your airline and destination require a 48-hour (2 days) window for booking and results, please choose an appointment for testing within the 2 days before your departure date. We do not recommend same-day testing for travel unless it is absolutely necessary.

Results Turnaround for Travel

COVID-19 Testing FAQ

How do I book a RT-PCR Covid-19 test?

We are online booking only. Here’s why:

  • This ensures a guaranteed appointment time and date for both the patient and the clinic staff.
  • This creates a secure electronic patient portal that you may use to access your appointment details, test progress, and most importantly, your secure test results in PDF format along with your invoices.

How is my sample for testing collected?

We recommend a self-swab, to remain contactless, however, if you would like some assistance, one of our staff is able to help. We use a swab to carefully collect nasal secretions, in a painless manner.

  • Insert the provided swab into each nostril, one at a time, approximately 1 inch into the nasal passage (midway).
  • Rotate the swab 3-4 times, remove gently, and repeat this process on the other side.

When will my RT-PCR Covid-19 test results be ready?

  • We guarantee next-day results for our RT-PCR Covid-19 tests post-specimen collection.
  • Please expect results by end of day (5-6pm) the next day.
  • We also offer same day covid test results by 5pm when the appointment is before noon
  • You will be notified via text message to the cell phone registered under your patient account that your PDF test results are ready. Please use your patient login to check the status of tests as we receive a high volume of phone calls.

How do I access my test results?

When your results are ready, you will be notified through text message. This text message will prompt you to login into your patient login (which you must create to view your test progress and test results).

Follow the link to this website in the text to login and see your results, which will be delivered in a PDF format for you to download/print for your records.

What if I miss my appointment or need to cancel?

If you are unable to keep your Covid-19 RT-PCR appointment, please adjust your appointment or call us to let us know at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

Appointments booked same day/within the 24 hours are still subject to our cancellation policy. 24 hour or less cancellations are a 50% charge, no shows are a 100% charge.

Do I need a referral from a medical professional?

No, do not need a referral from a medical professional to be tested for Covid-19 with us.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance information currently. Please check with your insurance provider or employer(s) about reimbursement for a RT-PCR Covid-19 test.

You will be issued a receipt/invoice for your scheduled test after your online payment is received. Please check your email’s spam folder.

How old can a patient be to get a COVID-19 test?

Young patients, under 18 years old, must be tested with a parent or legal guardian with them.

A parent or legal guardian must complete this registration for all minor patients (Nebraska: a minor is anyone under age 19).

The patient’s parent or legal guardian must be able to assist with nasal swabbing sample.

May I bring someone with me or should I come alone?

Registered and scheduled patients may bring support to their Stockton PCR Covid testing appointment. Please practice social distancing if needed.
